MIIKE SNOW ARE COMING TO AMERICA! SWEDISH-AMERICAN TRIO ANNOUNCE THEIR FIRST NORTH AMERICAN DATES
One of Downtown Records’ coveted acts this year, Miike Snow, are making their North American debut with several shows in the US and Canada in June. Swedish musicians Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg formed Miike Snow with American Andrew Wyatt in 2007 and since have crafted a stunning album of intelligent pop songs (self-titled, out on June 9) that are as captivating as they are danceable. The trio will be expanded to include 3 additional Stockholm-based musicians to re-create these songs live for the first time on American soil. The three have amassed an impressive pedigree as songwriters (from producing for the likes of Madonna, Kylie Minogue & Britney Spears while also being members of punk, indie rock and progressive electro groups) and this album represents the culmination of their years spent as deft masters in the studio and master songwriters. The results prove to be a triumph of pop songwriting.
