Pete Tong in Wonderland Ibiza Season 2009

Weekly Fridays at Eden, Ibiza
June 5th – September 25th 2009

Pete Tong returns to host Wonderland for a second year in Ibiza, following a bold move last year to Eden. The first year of the new residency was triumphant, teasing old faces back to San Antonio and refreshing the east side of the island. Wonderland pulled together people from varied walks of life in true Ibiza spirit, engaging new enthusiasm and fortifying Pete Tong as a true man of the people. Wonderland has since been followed by the likes of Ibiza Rocks and Hed Kandi in retreat to Eden and injected a new lease of life into Ibiza.

This year’s guests include Groove Armada (4 exclusive performances), Fatboy Slim, Eric Prydz, Deadmau5, Luciano, Timo Mass, Dubfire, M.A.N.D.Y, Dirty South, Gui Boratto and an exclusive performance from Lady Gaga. Wonderland’s residents Pete Tong and Rob Marmot will play exclusively at Eden every week.

The second room of Wonderland will be hosted by a range of eclectic labels, personalities and club nights including Zane Lowe’s ‘Home Taping Block Party’, Jaymo & Andy George’s ‘This Is Moda’, Nic Fancuilli’s Saved Records, Charlie Chester’s Looking Glass (featuring Jo Mills and Thomas Hedberg), Southern Fried and many more. Each host will open up fresh musical styles for Wonderland, bringing old and new artists to attention and unmasking a diverse spectrum of talent making Wonderland more than a club night – an Ibizan event.

Wonderland’s unique artwork has been designed by drum & bass legend come actor, Goldie, whose art exhibition, ‘The Kids Are All Riot’ is receiving rave reviews in London at the Maverick Showroom. As before there will be spectacular production for each party featuring the weird and wonderful and backed up by the wonderland dancers and sensational light installations by Microchunk.

The purchase from official ticket vendors will also offer fast track entry to the club.

Wonderland will also be hosting an arena at Rockness Festival in June and doing bimonthly parties at Ministry Of Sound in London over the summer. The second series of the Wonderland cd compilation will be released in early June.
