LA COKA NOSTRA UNLEASH THEIR DEBUT ALBUM A BRAND YOU CAN TRUST ON SUBURBAN NOIZE RECORDS JULY 14 ON THE ROCK THE BELLS TOUR, PLAYING EUROPE DATES ANNOUNCED

LA COKA NOSTRA is proud to announce a July 14 release date for their debut full-length album, A Brand You Can Trust. This is the group’s first release on Suburban Noize Records. LCN features Mr. White (Everlast, House of Pain), DJ Lethal (House of Pain, Limp Bizkit), Danny Boy (House of Pain), ILL BILL (Non Phixion), and Slaine (Special Teamz). The album features special appearances from no less than Snoop Dogg, Cypress Hill, Bun B, Psycho Realm, Immortal Technique, Q-Unique & the Alchemist!! The Hip Hop hybrid will also launch a killer live show on several European Dates and on The Rock The Bells Tour.

On A Brand You Can Trust, the powerhouse LA COKA NOSTRA take on the Taboo with cunning and fervor on the track “Choose Your Side” ft. Bun B.!!! Bun B speaks from the suicidal perspective of Kurt Cobain while Everlast channels ‘Howard Zinn On Genocide’ and ILL BILL lyrical adapts ‘Memoirs of a Boy Soldier’ by Ishmael Beah. Lay this on top of stellar production by The Alchemist & you have certified crack. “Choose Your Side” featuring Bun B.

LCN MC Slaine commented on the upcoming release: “When we first started recording tracks for La Coka, we knocked a lot of joints out at once, and there was a lot of hype and buzz around the project and the group. We started leaking those tracks to feed the hunger that was out there, but in the meantime, I think we raised the bar and created an expectation level within the group to really make a dope record. While we were on the Bring Tha Noize tour, I had the headphones on and listened to the final version of the album sequenced, mixed and mastered, and bugged out at how good it is. This shit bangs. We set out to make a boom bap hip hop record, and we did that, but to stop there would be selling it short, because lyrically, musically, and sonically this album doesn’t fit in a box. This summer the world will finally hear what the fuck is really going on with La Coka Nostra.”

Following several European tour dates this July, LA COKA NOSTRA will be making several appearances at this summer’s Rock The Bells tour, which features Nas, Damien Marley, The Roots, Busta Rhymes, Common, Big Boi, KRS-One, House of Pain, Tech N9ne, RZA, GZA, Raekwon, and more!

“La Coka Nostra pride ourselves on the quality of our music & our brand in much the same way Guerilla Union does with their annual “Rock The Bells” festival series,” added ILL BILL. “We are honored to be a part of this year’s festivities and look forward to spending the summer rocking alongside Hip Hop’s latest & greatest talents.”
