SEAN KINGSTON SET TO RELEASE TOMORROW SEPT 22nd “FIRE BURNING” – THE SMASH SINGLE OF THE SUMMER UPCOMING CANADIAN DATES THIS FALL

Toronto, ON – Epic Records Platinum recording artist Sean Kingston returns with his sophomore album, Tomorrow, on September 22nd. Tomorrow is the follow-up to Kingston’s self-titled debut album, which was released in 2007, sold more than 1 million copies worldwide and generated three back-to-back Top 10 singles including the double-platinum smash “Beautiful Girls,” which hit No. 1 in 21 countries.

“Fire Burning,” the singer-songwriter’s first single off the new album, has already racked up download sales of over 70,000 and is currently sitting at #2 on the CHR chart and is Top 10 at Hot-AC in Canada. “Fire Burning” is the #2 digital song on Soundscan and Sean Kingston’s highest selling digital song in Canada. In the US, the single has just been certified platinum by the RIAA, and has had over 13 million streams in just 2 months. The video was the #1 most played video on MTV and Fuse for the month of July.

Kingston’s second album aptly titled Tomorrow, reflects the 19-year-old’s growth as a person as well as his evolution as a singer, songwriter, and entertainer. It is a buoyant collection of pop-fueled feel-good anthems and dance-floor clarion calls that bumps everything from electro-pop (the club-banging first single “Fire Burning”) to rock (“Shoulda Let U Go” featuring Good Charlotte), to reggae (the breezy “Island Queen”), to R&B (“Wrap U Around Me”).

“I called it Tomorrow because the album is about everything that’s happened to me over the past two years and how much I’ve grown and changed since my debut came out,” says Sean. “The songs are about me being hopeful and looking toward the future. We don’t know what tomorrow holds for us.”

The production is courtesy of a host of top-notch producers, including J.R. Rotem (who produced Kingston’s debut), RedOne (Lady Gaga), Wyclef Jean (who also contributes vocals on “Ice Cream Girl”), Detail (Akon), Lucas Secon (Jordin Sparks), and The Smeezingtons (Flo Rida). Through his songs, Kingston lets listeners in on what his life is like through good old-fashioned story-telling.

Sean has been traveling extensively since “Fire Burning” hit the airwaves and recently performed the hit song on the FOX show “So You Think You Can Dance.” He also performed at The Teen Choice Awards August 10th on FOX and was nominated for a Teen Choice Award in the category Choice Summer Song.

In anticipation of the September 22nd release date, 7 tracks off of Tomorrow will be available through a special countdown on iTunes. Starting July 28th and running through September 1st, consumers can download a new track each week and be among the first to sample the new album, including the upcoming second single, “Face Drop” which will impact radio mid August.
