NEW BOYZ LAUNCH iJERKIN’ APP ON THE APP STORE DROP DEBUT ALBUM “SKINNY JEANZ & A MIC” SEPTEMBER 15th

Burbank, CA – Warner Bros. Records and the New Boyz are pleased to announce the availability of the duo’s iJerkin’ App on the App Store. The iJerkin’ App allows fans to use their iPhone or iPod touch to make their own dance video to the New Boyz’s summer hit “You’re A Jerk.”

The unique iJerkin’ App allows fans to manipulate the real dance movements of the New Boyz’s Ben J and Legacy during their hit song “You’re A Jerk” using four featured moves: “Jerkin,” “The Dip,” “Peter Pan,” and “The Reject.” Fans control the dance movements by tapping the corresponding button and shaking or swiping the innovative Multi-Touch user interface of iPhone and iPod touch.

Additionally, iJerkin’ also allows users to stream tracks from the New Boyz’s forthcoming debut album Skinny Jeans & A Mic (out September 15th), watch an assortment of videos, share the dance video they’ve created with friends on social networks, and log-in to interact with friends on TheNewBoyz.com or Turnt-Up.com, the official Jerkin’ movement web site. Future updates to the app will include new songs, artists and more digital goodies.

The Jerkin’ movement has been self-propelled by youth across the country who have recorded and uploaded their own variations of the popular dance to the web, taking 17-year-olds Ben J and Legacy from MySpace notoriety onto the national scene.

With the success of their first single, the boys insist that there is much more in store for listeners on their debut album Skinny Jeanz & A Mic, out September 15th. “People think we only do jerk music, but we do a whole lot of everything,” says Legacy. “The album’s about the typical teenage life and with our app for iPhone and iPod touch, our fans get to be part of the movement and experience our music with us.”

The iJerkin’ App is available for free from the App Store on iPhone and iPod touch or at www.itunes.com/appstore.

The iJerkin’ application was developed in partnership with ViralMesh, a Chicago based multi-platform mobile app developer.
