ESSO Looks To Become Everyone’s Favorite Freshman on MTVu

ESSO continues to gain momentum with his well received project “Off the Wall”. Two weeks after the debut of his video for the first single, “Don’t Stop” on MTV2, MTVu and MTVjams, it has been entered in the Pick Your Favorite Freshmen of the Week contest.

MTVu gives emerging artists a chance at fame with their weekly installment of The Freshmen. Each week, contestants have their videos featured on air and online for the chance to get an automatic add into rotation on the channel the following week. Starting Monday morning, fans can vote numerous times a day online until that Friday at 2:00 PM (EST). At that time, ballots will be tallied and the winner will be announced.

The concept for the video, “Don’t Stop”, stems from the King of Pop’s first solo work music video. Shots filmed in front of a green screen were transformed into the animated, vibrant and colorful finished product that has wowed audiences so far. “Don’t Stop” was directed by Joseph Puma, who first worked with ESSO on the video for his freestyle over GLC, Kanye West & T-Pain’s “Flight School.”
