California Based Independent Label In Ya Face Records Inks Distribution Deal With Universal Music Group/Bungalo Records
In Ya Face Records stomped on the music scene last year with the introduction of two female pop stars from northern California, Eva and Holly Rae.
In Ya Face’s teen pop sensation Eva garnered attention in 2008, when she opened up on tour for multi platinum recording artists Nas and Alicia Keys, which ultimately landed her a marketing deal with My Space Records and the digital release of her debut EP, In The Beginning, which features superstars Lupe Fiasco and Krayzie Bone.
Meanwhile, Holly Rae’s widely successful single “Trapped” produced by Jonathan “J.R.” Rotem, dominated West Coast Rhythmic Radio for over 12 weeks and landed her on the 2008 Dub Tour, opening for Dannity Kane, Rick Ross, Ludacris and David Banner.
As the buzz on Eva and Holly Rae began to bubble, it caught the attention of Bungalo Records CEO, Paul Ring. After a meeting with In Ya Face owners Raul Galvan and Howard Misle, Bungalo offered In Ya Face Records a distribution deal. Vowing to remain independent in this ever changing music business, Galvan and Misle knew this was the type of deal they were looking for. “I feel this deal is a great move for both parties. I look forward to starting the new year with an explosive first quarter. It’s been a long time in the making but nothing great is built overnight”, explains Galvan.
Bungalo Records has been in the Universal system for ten years with many successful releases from artists such as Carl Thomas, Bizzy Bone, DJ Quik and Patti LaBelle, to name a few. Bungalo Records CEO, Paul Ring feels In Ya Face Records’ vision and artists are a perfect fit to add to the family. “In Ya Face records is one of the hottest labels with fresh new talent that I’ve come across in a long time”, says Ring.
The first release on In Ya Face Records will be Eva’s debut self titled album, due in stores Spring of 2010.
