BLACK HOLE RECORDINGS RELEASES ‘IN SEARCH OF SUNRISE 8: SOUTH AFRICA’ (Mixed By RICHARD DURAND) JUNE 1, 2010
In February, BLACK HOLE RECORDINGS announced that IN SEARCH OF SUNRISE – the Holy Grail of trance music compilations – would return in spring/summer 2010. What followed was a period of intense speculation. With TIESTO departed, who’d take over the ISOS reins? Online forums were abuzz.
Since 2006 – the same year TIESTO tipped his hat towards the budding DJ/producer in the UK’s DJ Magazine as a talent-to-watch – RICHARD DURAND has been on dance music’s fast-track. ISOS-8 pursues a mission to uncover the newest, best, most bleeding-edge tunes from the best EDM artists on earth, including DURAND’s own “For No Reason” and “N.Y.C.,” the latter featuring superstar vocalist, JES. The 2xCD compilation includes what will be surefire summer anthems played throughout Europe’s massive festivals and Ibiza’s clubs. Said DURAND, “I was long inspired by South Africa.
