The Golden Filter Gives “Stars” to Their Fans, Streams Their Album In Full, Gets Remixed by Peter, Bjorn & John, Performs In NYC on May 14

As New York duo The Golden Filter prepares for the US release of their debut album, Voluspa, on June 15, the group has come up with a “stellar” way to give back to their fans…

The Golden Filter are giving away stars–yep, gaseous, fiery, faraway stars–with randomly selected copies of their CDs. When you pre-order a physical CD or Vinyl through the bands website, you get an instant download of the digital version, including two bonus tracks and two exclusive video’s. Plus, a lucky twenty fans will get a celestial being in addition to the album — one purchased and renamed star, to be specific, along with a one-of-a-kind Polaroid taken by the duo.

You can listen to the band’s debut in full over at their website.

The Golden Filter will be performing a one-off show at the Mercury Lounge in New York City on Friday, May 14 with support from The Hundred In The Hands, before preparing for a national tour in June in support of Voluspa.

The band’s latest single “Hide Me” is out this week. The single comes with a Peter Bjorn & John’s Hortlax Cobra Remix (returning the favor for TGF’s remix of “Lay It Down,”) a Clock Opera Remix and the band’s own “Nine Worlds” remix, all available over at iTunes.

“A stunningly cool and detached modern disco record.” – Clash

“An infectious slice of shimmering disco beats, sparkling synth melodies and breathy disaffected vocals” – Pitchfork

“Golden Filter have the sonic wizardry to bring you under their control” – Dazed and Confused

“Post-millennial disco with an icy sheen” -NME

“Sprawling, hedonistic, mirrorball bliss” – Prefix
