Credit To The Nation Reveal Comeback Single Details

UK Hip-Hop pioneers, Credit To The Nation, have revealed details of their eagerly awaited comeback single. Their first new music release in twelve years.

The band will release ‘RTA’ on November 1, with an as-yet-untitled new album following next year.

B-sides for the single include a dirty rehash of the original by Fool Noodle, and a feature version with the God Father of Hip-Hop, Chuck D of Public Enemy.

Formed by Matthew “Matty” Hanson, aka MC Fusion, the group made a commercial impact in the early nineties with a slew of political hits. Their breakthrough single, ‘Call It What You Want’, sampled the guitar riff used by Nirvana on ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’, and their highest selling single, ‘Teenage Sensation’ reached number 23 in the UK Singles Chart.

Remarkably for a Hip-Hop group, all Credit to the Nation singles reached number 1 in the Melody Maker and NME independent label charts. This gathered the band a large indie following, which saw them tour with acts such as the Manic Street Preachers, and perform live at The Glastonbury NME stage, Phoenix Festival, and the Reading Festival Melody Maker Stage.

‘RTA’ is released on 1st November 2010, through Cross Flow Recordings.
