Reggae sensation Da’Ville and rap star Cristol team up for “Wine U A Wine” remix
Tampa, Florida-After taking the world by storm this summer with runaway smash single “Wine U Wine,” international reggae sensation Da’Ville effortlessly crosses over onto the Hip Hop market with the sultry Southern remix featuring underground rap sensation Cristol.
Da’Ville is known for making the ladies swoon with sensitive love ballads, but this Kingston, Jamaica-born musical sensation switches gears with the up-tempo, pop-inspired single “Wine U a Wine” and once again redefines the sound of popular music. With a string of hit singles over the years, Da’Ville’s music has topped charts locally and internationally. He has been touring nationally as he delivers his unique hybrid of reggae, pop, R&B and soul directly into the laps of fans.
Cristol, on the other hand, has been buzzing for quite some time now. He recently released his stellar mixtape Famous and Broke 1.5. Fueled by his debut smash single “Smack It Up,” the mixtape boasted exclusive tracks with gold and platinum superstars Rick Ross, Lil Boosie, 2 Pistols and Gucci Mane. Cristol has also provided the Tampa Bay Rays’ with the official adrenaline-pumping anthem “It’s Our Season” featuring fellow rappers Big Gill and Bay Boi. The song helped to inspire the team to national dominance during the 2008 World Series and will continue this year with the new 2010 remix.
The pair first hooked up when Cristol got a call from Da’Ville’s label, Fashozy Records to feature on the remix. Cristol’s verse on the remix was so dynamic that Da’Ville called back a few weeks later to do a cameo as well. The official remix video will be released soon.
“When we got the phone call to do the record, I wasn’t very hip on the reggae market,” says Cristol. “Come to find out, Da’Ville has a big name.”
With each artist having their own following firmly in place, their music is now reaching the ears of new fans because of the support of the Southern remix to reggae sensation Da’Ville’s blistering single “Wine U Wine.” And together, they can’t be stopped.
