CHROMEO ANNOUNCE DATES FOR RISKY BUSINESS TOUR IN EARLY 2011
DUO TO HIT THE ROAD AFTER RELEASE OF ACCLAIMED THIRD LP BUSINESS CASUAL, OFFER FANS ADVANCE TICKET/ALBUM BUNDLE
Chromeo, the celebrated creators of some of the most compelling pop music from the past decade, are primed to hit the road once again this winter, touring in support of their most recent release, Business Casual on Big Beat/Atlantic Records. The album has since been critically acclaimed by the likes of Rolling Stone, Spin, Pitchfork, Blackbook, Entertainment Weekly, Paste, URB and Filter, among countless others. The band will jumpstart 2011 after sold out shows across the country on their summer tour in 2010 – bookended with an epic Bonnaroo performance alongside Daryl Hall and a climactic appearance on Late Night with David Letterman, propelling Dave 1 and P-Thugg to new heights of popularity.
An outfit continually dedicated to audience interaction, Chromeo is offering an exclusive pre-sale promotion beginning October 13th. Lucky fans can purchase discounted tickets or a bundle that includes the album, an autographed tour poster as well as a show ticket. Standard tickets will be on sale to the general public on October 15th.
PRESS ON BUSINESS CASUAL:
“This record cements their potential as a marquee band.” – PITCHFORK
“The new album maintains the solid electro-funk foundation for which the duo is known, but it stretches the scope of Chromeo’s instrumentation by weaving in richer guitars and spicier synths.” – NPR
“Chromeo’s third album expands, no less credibly, into rippling Balearica, Air-y electro lounge […] and syrupy declarations of devotion.” – SPIN
“On Business Casual they remain adept students of the Hall & Oates school of hooks, which they surround with gleaming synth grooves and robotic talkbox solos that recall ’80s funk masters like Zapp & Roger.” – ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY
“Business Casual is the sound of Chromeo wholly having wholly realized its vision.” – FILTER MAGAZINE
