Green Label Sound today releases its latest single “Into The Valley” by Los Angeles, CA-based production/DJ duo Classixx (aka Michael David and Tyler Blake). “Into the Valley” (feat. Karl Dixon) is a blissful, soul-dripping track that recalls classic house and the best Larry Levan mixes and is available as a free download exclusively at http://www.greenlabelsound.com.

Classixx was formed in 2007 in Los Angeles by David and Blake and in just three years, the duo has become one of the most respected in U.S.-based dance music. The group is equally adept at creating ubiquitous remixes and scene-creating DJ sets as their own funk-drenched house productions. While both David and Blake listened to punk music growing up, they came together by sharing the mutual agreement that they were each inspired by DFA Records and groups such as Soulwax and Digitalism. Word quickly spread about Classixx’s work. The duo’s production credits include working on “I’ll Get You” on Kitsuné Records and “No Strings” for soul revivalist Mayer Hawthorne and they have remixed tracks by Phoenix and Holy Ghost! (also for Green Label Sound) among the many.

The new single “Into the Valley,” is littered with moroder-esque synths and vicious horn licks that anchor the joyous, triumphant song. Its title is also a play on both the route to the group’s L.A. studio and the parallel spiritual themes on the track.
