Miami’s hub for culture, music, art and conceptual events announces its week long series of “Art and Electronica” events during this year’s Winter Music Conference

Awarehouse, Miami’s multi-purpose performance venue and art gallery, presents its eclectic series of events for the Art and Electronica enthusiast during the week of this year’s Winter Music Conference in Miami, from Tuesday, March 8th through Saturday, March 12th at the Awarehouse, 550 NW 29th Street in Wynwood, Miami.

Once again, Awarehouse showcases a balearic spectrum of live acts and DJ performances from around the world, highlighting the cream of emerging talent during the global electronic industry’s convergence in South Florida.

Tuesday, March 8th
The Awarehouse and DeviceRATT presents “We Live Here” a WMC kick-off event, showcasing the finest in Miami DJ talent. Performers include: Sanedrac Hunter, Franccesco Cardenas & Luke Hunter (Teleport Records / Casa Do Conde / 040 recordings). Sanedrac Hunter releases their “Injustice” EP on Casa Do Conde Records featuring Finjustice & 2.four flew over the cuckoo’s nest; Spinnzinn (WVUM 90.5/Casa Do Cande Recordings); SexyHouseLab (Labels: Nervous Records, Groove On Records, Peak Hour Music Stripped Digitial, SouthSide Recodings) with live percussion by Marcus Ramirez; DeviceRATT (,, Miamismokeshop). Visual art will be provided by Lazaro Aguirre, Ronald Lincona, Tecne Collective and Autopoesis. Thursday, March 10th
“BREATHE” is an art and music event created and produced entirely by artists from the local community and follows the same conceptual theme as “REBIRTH: The Future of Miami,” which took place during Art Basel at Churchill’s Pub and continues where “GROW,” the now seemingly infamous event that pushed beyond boundaries and decree, left off.
BREATHE will feature an eclectic, collaborative and technologically savvy group of artists from around the city and was designed to showcase the evolving artistic talents that Miami has to offer in the present and future.
Sound artists include: Telekinetic Walrus (EP Release); DJ Le Spam (of the Spam Allstars); Out of the Anonymous; organicArma (Live); Beatmachines (Tony of Afrobeta and JJ of Suenelo); Mr Feathers; The Cornerstoners; Tusk; Dave Betamax; SpinnZinn; Soma; Transoverload; Lion King; Franky Helix; Operation Human Mind Expansion; Eden Grey and Dusthead.
Visual artists include: Parker, Tecne Collective, VJ AV8 and Autopoesis.
Burlesque attractions will be provided by Ginger Bardot, with body art undertaken by Stacy Love and additional art by Queen Bee’s “Kook Crew.” Sponsors for the event are: Grunge Cat Magazine, Rah Threads, Chillo Energy Drink, World Matters (foundation) and SESAC, with catering provided by James BBQ.
Doors 10:00pm-4:00am $5 donation/admission for World Matters. Free for WMC badge holders.

Friday, March 11th
World Matter Presents “Electronic Radicals” a new wave of party showcasing the best in electronic music in Miami with special guests from Italy Techno Mafia (TMR). Live performances include: Transoverload, organicArma (Live), Telekinetic Walrus and Niki EM, with DJ sets by Federico & Orfale, Alexander Fog (TMR), Alberto Drago (TMR) and Maxitronica (TMR). Visuals provided by Tecné Collective, Autopoesis and Parker.
The event is sponsored by Transoverload, Awarehouse and TechnoMafia Records
Doors 8:00pm – 6:00am
$5-10 donation/admission at door.

Saturday, March 12th
Electrópico – Wynwood Session presented by Heineken and Fabrika
The New Sounds of Latin Electronica
Electrópico is a showcase presenting the new sounds of Latin electronica. This event will gather performers from Colombia, Venezuela, Mexico, Spain showcasing music styles such as digital cumbia, tropical bass, latin funk, Electropical, world beat, phsychedelic cumbia, Latin house and mashups. This will serve as an updated screening of what’s happening around the globe with Latin music and the dance culture.
Artists include: Pernett (Colombia); Jeremy Sole (KCRW / Afrofunke / Los Angeles); Palenke Soultribe DJ set (Los Angeles); Afrokumbe (Miami); De Juepuchas (Colombia); Mr. Pauer (Fabrika / Miami); Mexican Dubweiser (Mexico); organicArma (Venezuela / Miami); Kiko De Gallo (Groovalizacion / Spain); Dennis Mero (Sunshine Filtered Radio / Orlando) and Juanderful (Tropicalisimo / Philadelphia).
Live visuals will be provided by Tecné Collective, with live art by Trek-Six. The event is sponsored by Heineken, Fabrika and Awarehouse, with support from Rhythm Foundation, Pulso Beat, Wynwood Radio, BMI and The Standard Hotel.
