Clark Comes to North America This June

“gorgeous”– NPR Music

“flits between idiosyncratic synth warble and dreamy folk pop”- SPIN

“constantly fascinating listening” – Flavorpill

For the first time in several years, Clark will be coming to North America for a handful of special shows. He is performing at this year’s Mutek Festival as well as kicking off the inaugural show for the Loops and Variations music series taking place this summer at Chicago’s beautiful Millenium Park. He will also be joining Garth Trinidad on KCRW for an interview and set on June 6 before performing at one of LA’s favorite parties Low End Theory. The live set will blend together the sonic textures of Clark’s latest album Iradelphic with the hard-hitting club sets he is known for.

Released this April, Iradelphic is unlike anything Clark has done before. Wanting to unplug in order to recharge his creative energy, Clark spent time after the last record away from computers developing his live instrumentation skills, which is clearly evident in the sound and direction of this album. Iradelphic differs stylistically not only from its predecessors but also within itself. Tracks like his soulful collaboration with Martina Topley Bird “Secret”, the synth-tastic melody of “Com Touch”, and the melancholy piano of “Black Stone” are all diverse in sound, yet share a kinship that could only exist within the intricately woven vibe felt through out Iradelphic.
