UK electronic duo Simian Mobile Disco will kick off their A Form Of Change World Tour tomorrow in the much celebrated cathedral of electronic music that is Berghain in Berlin, followed by an additional 25 shows across Europe and the USA. To celebrate the tour kickoff, Simian Mobile Disco will also be giving fans the chance to win live tickets through a Tumblr-exclusive competition. Running throughout their tour schedule, the “re-blog and follow” contest will allow fans to win a pair of tickets to one SMD show of their choice.
To enter, fans should follow SMD LIVE, re-blog the FYF 2012 and leave a comment with the Date and City of the desired show. Before each date SMD will chose one winner who will receive 2 tickets to the show (no transport or accomodations provided).
Simian Mobile Disc–aka James Ford and Jas Shaw–recently released the A Form Of Change EP on Wichita Records. The 4-song EP comes from the same recording sessions as their critically praise album Unpatterns, released earlier this year. The collection of four tracks is another sterling example of Simian Mobile Disco’s restless creativity, and their yen for refining and redefining the parameters of their own musical landscape with almost laserlike precision, following Brian Eno’s maxim that “repetition is a form of change.”
