Arguably the hardest working rap group in America, Atmosphere are announcing the final tour in support of their sixth studio album, When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold and the recent reissue of, God Loves Ugly .The last leg of the When God Gives You Ugly tour is set to include a number of festivals, including Lollapalooza, 10,000 Lakes, Outside Lands, and a headlining show at Red Rocks, CO, with Eyedea and Abilities, Aesop Rock, Murs and up-and-coming Minneapolis rockers, Attracted to Gods.

Atmosphere’s sixth studio album When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold debuted at #5 on the Top Billboard Top 200. The single off the album, “You”, was performed on Conan O’Brian, Letterman and Jimmy Kimmel’s late night shows, and got major airplay across the globe. Recently, Atmosphere headlined the second annual Soundset festival, playing in front of a reported 15,000 people in Shakopee, MN.

Atmosphere hits the road this summer with Eyedea & Abilities and Attracted To Gods for the final leg of the When God Gives You Ugly Tour July 23 – August 29, 2009.

Atmosphere plans to bring their brand of literate, forward-thinking hip-hop to the masses this spring with the announcement of their upcoming “When God Gives You Ugly” tour (dates below). Slug and Ant will be rocking venues throughout the continent in celebration of the reissue of their critically acclaimed record God Loves Ugly and the recent release of their sixth studio album, When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold. The Atmosphere live show testifies to what devotees already know: Slug and Ant are the real deal. They bring the same passionate lyricism and hard hitting beats that critics have been singing the praises of for years. The 34-date tour kicks off in Missoula, Montana on April 9th.

P.O.S will be direct support through Seattle on 4/24.

P.O.S’s new album Never Better debuted at #1 on Billboard’s New Artists Chart a few week backs. ATMOSPHERE TO PAINT THE NATION ON FALL TOUR Atmosphere’s Fall tour embarks on September 10th in the US.

Atmosphere are ready to “Paint The Nation” and will do so by playing over 50 shows across the US this Fall in support of their new album, When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold. The trek kicks off September 10th in Fargo, ND and includes festival dates including Monolifth in Denver, Street Scene in San Diego, Edge Fest in Phoenix and KFMA Fall Ball in Tucson. The full lineup of the “Paint The Nation” Tour is Atmosphere featuring special guests Abstract Rude, Blueprint and DJ Rare Groove. The first leg of the tour is below and the second leg will be announced next week.

Atmosphere’s sixth studio album When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold debuted at #5 on the Top Billboard Top 200 in April and has now scanned almost 120,000 units and is the fastest selling Atmosphere record to date. Atmosphere was MTV’s 52/52 “Artist Of The Week.” back in May (you can watch clips on Atmosphere’s MySpace). Atmosphere headlined the first ever Soundset Festival in Minneapolis this past May that featured the very best in independent Hip Hop. Soundset sold over 12,000 tickets. The first single off the album, “You” is getting heavy airplay across the country and is currently climbing the Alternative charts thanks to rotations at KROQ/LA, INDIE 103/LA, 91X/San Diego, KNDD/Seattle, KVGS/Las Vegas, KITS/San Francisco, KEDJ/Phoenix, KROX/Austin, KWOD/Sacramento, KCCQ/Des Moins, KFMA/Tucson, WLUM/Milwaukee, Sirius, XM and Music Choice among others. Look for the music video for “You” to hit in the beginning of September. Atmosphere has now performed “You” on Conan, Letterman and is booked for Jimmy Kimmel’s outdoor stage on Wednesday, September 24th.

If five releases from Atmosphere in less than a year doesn’t have you already convinced that Minneapolis’ Slug and Ant are the hardest working men in the biz, 19 North American tour dates through April and May across the US and Canada should set the record straight. In addition to the three Sad Clown EPs and free full length digital release, Strictly Leakage, Atmosphere will be touring in support of their sixth upcoming studio full length, When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold (April 22nd, Rhymesayers). Atmosphere’s notoriously energy driven and sold-out shows have brought the band to New Zealand, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Canada, Europe in years past and this round they’ll be premiering new material to North America fans first. What we will be sending out is a CD/DVD combo that covers the last 10 years of Atmosphere. The CD will contain a 12-track ‘Greatest Hits’ type of compilation and the DVD will feature a mixed bag of performances and music videos plus a video rollout of the When Life Gives You Lemons… artwork and children’s book.

When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold, will mark Atmosphere’s most complete album to date. Recorded in the dead of Winter, and influenced by fatherhood, Slug’s storytelling and ant’s lush melodies have never been more poignant. A limited edition run of When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold will be packaged as a 40 page hard cover black fabric book with gold embossing. In addition to lyrics, credits and an illustrated children’s story written by Slug, the deluxe package will include a bonus DVD with over an hour of live footage and extras from the final shows of the Everybody Loves A Clown tour shot at First Avenue nightclub in Minneapolis, with Dolby 5.1 surround audio.
