Krizz Kaliko Electrifies with Shock Treatment on Sept. 14 The Genius’ Third CD Features Tech N9ne, Kutt Calhoun, Big Scoob, Brotha Lynch Hung, Big Ben, Stevie Stone

Krizz Kaliko Electrifies with Shock Treatment on Sept. 14 The Genius’ Third CD Features Tech N9ne, Kutt Calhoun, Big Scoob, Brotha Lynch Hung, Big Ben, Stevie Stone

As Tech N9ne’s right-hand man and the mastermind behind many of Strange Music’s biggest hits, KRIZZ KALIKO has proven he strikes a nerve with fans worldwide. And on Sept. 14, 2010, one of the most talented, under the radar rap artists in the game follows up his sophomore CD Genius, with Shock Treatment, featuring Strange CEO/founder Tech N9ne, label mates Kutt Calhoun, Big Scoob and Brotha Lynch Hung, plus Big Ben, Stevie Stone and more Hip Hop hot shots.

KRIZZ KALIKO steps it up a notch with his first single, “Elevator,” a club ditty that inspires both naughty and nice moves on the dance floor. The always-amped emcee accelerates the lady love with a string of female-fueled tracks, including the humorous “Skally Wag,” slow-moving, seductive “Stripper Dance” and upbeat R&B-blessed “Get It Girl” with Irv Da Phenom.

Where KRIZZ KALIKO really distinguishes himself from the rap pack is with his buzzing blends of rock and hip-hop. Crashing cymbals and raging guitars power “Hard Core,” while the frenetic pace of “Get Active” is right in line with the exciting energy that pulsates through the crowd at Strange Music concerts. “Simon Says,” featuring Tech N9ne, is a Strange Music call-and-response classic ready-made to stir followers into a frenzy. “All Gas No Brakes” is a stuttering, haunting head nodder featuring 816 Boyz, and “In My Dreams” pairs KRIZZ KALIKO with Brotha Lynch Hung for a symphonic, cinematic adventure that boasts the lyrical prowess of both eccentric mic masters.

After working with Tech N9ne and Strange Music for 10 years, performing over 200 shows a year, KRIZZ KALIKO has earned a spot among Hip Hop’s hardest-working entertainers. His solo debut, 2008’s Vitiligo, landed at No. 19 on the Billboard charts and he has been instrumental in Tech N9ne’s incredible success: In 2008, Tech N9ne SoundScanned over one million units, making him the most successful independent Hip Hop artist in history. KRIZZ KALIKO’s sophomore CD, Genius, ranked No. 3 on Billboard’s Top Rap Albums chart.

It’s Kali baby, and he’s coming to a city near you with “TECH N9NE’S INDEPENDENT GRIND TOUR 2010” along with Hip Hop heavyweights E-40, Jay Rock and Glasses Malone and Strange Music cohorts Kutt Calhoun and Big Scoob.

RAP VETERAN, BROTHA LYNCH HUNG, RELEASES DINNER AND A MOVIE ON TECH N9NE’S STRANGE MUSIC LABEL

RAP VETERAN, BROTHA LYNCH HUNG, RELEASES DINNER AND A MOVIE ON TECH N9NE’S STRANGE MUSIC LABEL

Warning: This may be the most disturbing piece of music ever…

Last year, Tech N9ne’s indie powerhouse Strange Music welcomed BROTHA LYNCH HUNG into its growing family. On March 23, 2010, the King of Sacramento unveils the full-length album fans have been waiting for since 2003’s Lynch by Inch.

Dinner and A Movie, the first of three concept albums BROTHA LYNCH HUNG will release via Strange Music, follows the life of a serial killer that’s slaying rappers in the game. Building on his respect for scary cinemateurs like Rob Zombie and Wes Craven, BROTHA LYNCH HUNG theatrically showcases his own ability to switch on and off his double personality: regular guy by day, serial killer by night.

BROTHA LYNCH HUNG, aided by director Dan Gedman of Liquid 9 and :31, will present nine videos chronicling this madman’s journey through all three albums. The first video, “Meat,” (full video now available at coathangastrangla.com), introduces the troubled main character that eventually turns to the dark side. “I Plotted (My Next Murder)” will be posted online next, in which you witness the central character embrace his alter ego: the serial killing, mask-wearing Coat Hanga Strangla. By the time the third video, “Colostomy Bag,” arrives, it becomes evident that the power of killing has seduced the rapper and behind the mask is where he wants to be.

Crafting three records in the form of three acts that comprise an audio drama, BROTHA LYNCH HUNG goes where no other rapper has gone before. In his online theater production, he pays homage to American Psycho – the sexuality of violence and the thrills of living a double life.

“This is the first time this has ever been done,” assures Gedman. “We are visually bringing this character to life, and then Lynch is going to write the next two albums. It’s an interactive process. Now he has to lyrically revisit the character and story, knowing what it all looks like.”

Like each member of the Strange Music label, BROTHA LYNCH HUNG lives by a similarly intense, do-or-die, work ethic. Almost every year since his 1993 debut, 24 Deep, he has released a CD, and his total CD sales top 1.4 million. Impressive feats considering he has never been affiliated with a major label.

BROTHA LYNCH HUNG would like to invite you to join him for Dinner And A Movie.

TECH N9NE RELEASES K.O.D. OCTOBER 27, 2009 FEAT. THREE 6 MAFIA, KRIZZ KALIKO, BROTHA LYNCH HUNG, KUTT CALHOUN & MORE

TECH N9NE RELEASES K.O.D. OCTOBER 27, 2009 FEAT. THREE 6 MAFIA, KRIZZ KALIKO, BROTHA LYNCH HUNG, KUTT CALHOUN & MORE

TECH N9NE prepared his fans for his current masterpiece, K.O.D. when he dropped Sickology 101, the hottest collaboration album of the year. “I’m a machine,” he assured. “And I’m getting better and better.” On Oct. 27, TECH N9NE delivers the proof.

With memorable features from Academy Award winners Three 6 Mafia, Strange affiliates Krizz Kaliko, Brotha Lynch Hung and Kutt Calhoun, K.O.D. allows TECH N9NE to paint the most vivid pictures he’s ever attempted. Powered by tracks like “Show Me A God” and “Leave Me Alone,” it may be his most personal collection of songs yet.

Much of this introspection can be pinpointed to his mother’s health problems. Despite his busy touring schedule, appearances on TV and support from an ever-growing fan base, it’s these intimate battles that pushed his music to new corners and helped him release his pain on the tracks of K.O.D.

“I’ve seen so much pain recently,” TECH N9NE divulges, “so many dark things. I had to take those experiences and make something beautiful out of them. I couldn’t let myself fall into that hole with no chance of getting out.”

“I know people are feeling some of the same things I am,” continues TECH N9NE, “and maybe this will let them see that everyone has those dark things they go through. Everyone can face them and be stronger in the end.”

Boasting a career most rappers strive for, TECH N9NE has consistently proved himself to be one of the hardest working entertainers in the game. In 2008, he reaped the rewards of his tireless efforts: He SoundScanned over 1 million units, making him the most successful independent Hip-Hop artist in history.

With hits like “I’m A Playa,” “Caribou Lou” (which boasts 7.2 million MySpace plays), “Riotmaker,” “Like Yeah” and “Everybody Move,” it’s no wonder he counts a total of over 4.5 million YouTube video plays and an average of 40,000 MySpace visitors each day.

Catch TECH N9NE and the rest of Strange Music on the K.O.D. Tour 2009.
