Crystal Castles Premiere New Video For ‘Affection’, Announce More Tour Dates

WATCH ‘AFFECTION’ HERE

Today Crystal Castles revealed their official video for their new single ‘Affection’,

The video for the single is an abstract tour documentary filmed after shows in Buenos Aires, Argentina (Apr 4 2013) and Bogotá, Colombia (Apr 7 2013). Alice was filmed by Ethan, Crystal Castles filmed by Chris Chartrand (the bands live drummer), and Ashley McMinn was filmed by Marc Pannozzo (long time Crystal Castles video collaborator). The footage was then stitched together in London by Stephen Agnew (Editor & Video Glitch Artist), creating the perfect visuals to accompany the gorgeously melodic and haunting single.

‘Affection’ is set for it’s official release on May 28 in the U.S and will feature bonus material, soon to be announced.

Crystal Castles are currently on the road for their headlining tour accross North America and will be winding up at The Governor’s Ball and Lollapalooza Festivals this summer. More dates for the Depeche Mode tour this fall have been added (see below).

The 4th annual Fun Fun Fun Fest artist line up released today

TICKETS GO ON SALE AT 2PM CST

Transmission Entertainment is pleased to announce the lineup for the 2009 Fun Fun Fun Fest, taking place on November 7th and 8th at Waterloo Park in Austin. Fun Fun Fun Fest made its first appearance on a cold Friday evening in 2006, offering a unique approach to festival booking, filling stages with talent bubbling from the underground: what sounded great, and what was making an impact, regardless of what mainstream media said was cool. What started out as a show for a few touring acts and local favorites has become a movement — a festival that fans and bands alike realize needs to be experienced year after year.

Now in its fourth year, Fun Fun Fun Fest has made a significant impact on the country’s winter calendar, successfully combining the vast worlds of indie, punk, rap, electronica and comedy while showcasing some of the city’s most unique local businesses. It is the most relaxed, laid back and (yet) progressive festival in the market place today, a true urban event in the middle of downtown Austin. Most importantly it’s a fest we in the music community want to go to, without all of the filler that shows up at corporate music carnivals around the world. Fun Fun Fun Fest: the fest before the fest … where you go to see what’s about to happen as opposed to what’s already been done.

Each year, fans have been treated to sets by reunited legends as well as prominent acts from across the globe at the festival. And this edition is no different – music aficionados will be eagerly awaiting performances by DEATH, The Jesus Lizard, Shonen Knife, Mission of Burma, and Danzig. Of Montreal, King Khan & BBQ Show, GZA, No Age, Young Widows, Ratatat, Yeasayer, and The Cool Kids ensure that a wide variety of relevant artists will again be on display, and as always, Austin is well represented, this year by the likes of Shearwater, Foot Patrol, Black and White Years, The Laughing, Harlem, and Strange Boys.

In true Fun Fun Fun Fest fashion, fans can now learn about new music, research the line up, listen to MP3s, interact, enter contests, buy merchandise and more; simply by joining the new Fun Fun Fun Fest (http://www.funfunfunfest.comhttp://www.funfunfunfest.com) community online.

HARD ANNOUNCES LINEUP FOR SUMMER MUSIC FESTIVAL AT THE FORUM IN LOS ANGELES

HARD ANNOUNCES LINEUP FOR SUMMER MUSIC FESTIVAL AT THE FORUM IN LOS ANGELES

August 8th, 2009 HARD SUMMER TO INCLUDE UNDERWORLD, CHROMEO, CROOKERS, CRYSTAL CASTLES, A-TRAK, TIGA, THE BLOODY BEETROOTS, SEBASTIAN, BUSY P, AMANDA BLANK, AND MORE

www.hardfest.com

Good news for California’s work-weary and party-deprived: the dance music masterminds behind HARD New Year’s Eve and the sold out HARD Haunted Mansion will return to Los Angeles with their signature mega-party this summer.

British music stalwarts Underworld will transform the 15,000-capacity LA Forum into the world’s largest dance club. Enlisted to aid HARD’s party-starting cause: Canadian electro-funk duo and talk-box enthusiasts Chromeo, preeminent Italian superstars Crookers, lo-fi mutineers Crystal Castles, and electro-hop wunderkind A-trak. Currently slated to join them are the likes of Tiga, The Bloody Beetroots, Sebastian, Busy P, Amanda Blank, Steve Aoki, Rye Rye, Skeet Skeet, Sinden, Jack Beats, Destructo, Dan Oh and 12th Planet.

2009’s HARD Summer lineup speaks to the broad, multi-faceted appeal that has made HARD’s events so successful. Veterans Underworld opened electronic music’s floodgates with their daring mega-hit “Born Slippy .NUXX” (UK #2) and its pivotal role in the film Trainspotting. The duo earned the respect of critics and fans with their unforgettable, accomplished performances and ever-evolving style. The slick synth-pop of Chromeo jostles up against the arty bit-crushed productions of Crystal Castles and the high-tech eclecticism of Tiga. Fans will revel at the multi-media electro-punk of HARD all-stars Crookers and The Bloody Beetroots.

This year the HARD creative team builds on the immense success of last year’s HARD Summer Music Festival which attracted over 7,000 revelers to party with N*E*R*D and MSTRKRFT, and was hailed as “the party of the year” by URB.com. With every event they put on, HARD enhances its reputation as a powerhouse, and this summer’s party is sure to raise the bar again. Pre-sale tickets can be purchased at Groovetickets and Ticketmaster.

JUSTICE AND SOULWAX TO HEADLINE HARD HAUNTED MANSION 10/31! WITH SIMIAN MOBILE DISCO, CRYSTAL CASTLES, BOYS NOIZE, CROOKERS, DEADMAU5, DJ AM, JASON BENTLEY & DESTRUCTO

www.hardfest.com

The creative team behind the HARD Summer Music Festival and HARD New Year’s Eve have again upped the ante with the year’s most-talked-about festival roster, HARD Haunted Mansion. Guaranteed to be the premiere 2008 Halloween event in LA with headliners Justice (France) and Soulwax(Belgium), the grounds of the Shrine Expo Hall in downtown LA will be transformed into a Halloween-costumed mega-party with international all-stars Boys Noize (Germany), Crystal Castles (Canada), Simian Mobile Disco (UK), Deadmau5 (Canada), and Crookers (Italy). Los Angeles’ cream of the crop DJ AM, Jason Bentley, and Destructo round out the non-stop indoor/outdoor event on Friday, October 31st.

French duo Justice have quickly become a household name with their best-selling album “Ý”, outrageous videos, electrifying performances, and their monster hits “D.A.N.C.E.” and “We Are Your Friends”. Soulwax have proven themselves worldwide as innovative rockers, mash-up DJs and remixers extraordinaire, all documented on their upcoming DVD release. Soulwax have finally found the perfect home for their stadium-sized show with LA’s boundary-pushing HARD Festival and its top-notch audio-visual production.

HARD Haunted Mansion expands on the success of the HARD Summer Music Festival which attracted over 7,000 revelers on July 19th to party with N*E*R*D, MSTRKRFT, and rising stars The Bloody Beetroots. HARD Haunted Mansion is open to all ages while the music-loving 21+ set will be treated to multiple bars and upgraded open-bar VIP sections at both the indoor and outdoor stages. VIP tickets and General Admission tickets are on sale now through Groovetickets.com, Ticketmaster and select lifestyle stores.

Hailed as “the party of the year” by URB.com, HARD proved it was a powerhouse with their New Year’s and Summer celebrations. “The eclectic lineup reflects the mashed-up party techno that has attracted so many rock fans,” exclaimed the Los Angeles Times. Still a few questions remain for HARD Haunted Mansion; will Simian Mobile Disco join Justice on stage for “We Are Your Friends”? Will Alice Glass and Crystal Castles incite a riot? Who are the surprise guest artists? And most importantly… what costume are you wearing to the HARD Haunted Mansion?

HARD Haunted Mansion opens its doors early at 8 PM to ensure fast entrance; music continues until 4 AM.
