Strange Music and Suburban Noize Hit The Road Together For Strange Noize Tour 2011 Featuring Johnny Richter, Krizz Kaliko, Saigon, Kutt Calhoun, Potluck and J Hornay

This spring, two of the most successful independent record labels come together to wreak havoc on the road once again. The 3rd annual “Strange Noize Tour” brings together two powerhouse labels – Strange Music and Suburban Noize – for a tour like no other. With artists representing both labels hitting the stage, fans are sure to see one of the most impactful and diverse Hip Hop shows around.

Co-headlining this chapter of the “Strange Noize Tour” saga will be none other than Sub Noize’s Johnny Richter of the Kottonmouth Kings, along with Strange Music’s resident genius, Krizz Kaliko. Richter, a key member of the Kings, has been hitting the road nonstop – most recently supporting the Kings’ album Long Live The Kings and his solo release, Laughing, and along the way developing an instantly recognizable swagger and style that’s all his own. Fans know Krizz Kaliko thru his constant touring with Tech N9ne, as well as thru his game-changing Strange Music albums, his latest being Shock Treatment. Krizz’s stage presence is undeniable and his live show is an energetic force unto itself.

Joining Krizz and Richter will be Saigon and Potluck from Suburban Noize, along with Kutt Calhoun from Strange Music. Saigon, one of Brooklyn’s finest, recently signed with Suburban Noize , adding a gritty East Coast element to the label’s already well-rounded roster with his album The Greatest Story Never Told . Potluck are following a trail blazed by the Kings as they rep Humboldt County from coast to coast – their upcoming May release “Rhymes And Resin” . The Kansas City Chief, Kutt Calhoun, brings his Raw And Un-Kutt brand of catchy, street-smart Hip Hop to the tour. Arizona local J Hornay rounds out the lineup with his self-described “jokester” style of rap.

The 2011 “Strange Noize Tour” combines two of the most notable independent record labels for a tour that will continue to change the expectations of what Hip Hop can be.

Krizz Kaliko Electrifies with Shock Treatment on Sept. 14 The Genius’ Third CD Features Tech N9ne, Kutt Calhoun, Big Scoob, Brotha Lynch Hung, Big Ben, Stevie Stone

Krizz Kaliko Electrifies with Shock Treatment on Sept. 14 The Genius’ Third CD Features Tech N9ne, Kutt Calhoun, Big Scoob, Brotha Lynch Hung, Big Ben, Stevie Stone

As Tech N9ne’s right-hand man and the mastermind behind many of Strange Music’s biggest hits, KRIZZ KALIKO has proven he strikes a nerve with fans worldwide. And on Sept. 14, 2010, one of the most talented, under the radar rap artists in the game follows up his sophomore CD Genius, with Shock Treatment, featuring Strange CEO/founder Tech N9ne, label mates Kutt Calhoun, Big Scoob and Brotha Lynch Hung, plus Big Ben, Stevie Stone and more Hip Hop hot shots.

KRIZZ KALIKO steps it up a notch with his first single, “Elevator,” a club ditty that inspires both naughty and nice moves on the dance floor. The always-amped emcee accelerates the lady love with a string of female-fueled tracks, including the humorous “Skally Wag,” slow-moving, seductive “Stripper Dance” and upbeat R&B-blessed “Get It Girl” with Irv Da Phenom.

Where KRIZZ KALIKO really distinguishes himself from the rap pack is with his buzzing blends of rock and hip-hop. Crashing cymbals and raging guitars power “Hard Core,” while the frenetic pace of “Get Active” is right in line with the exciting energy that pulsates through the crowd at Strange Music concerts. “Simon Says,” featuring Tech N9ne, is a Strange Music call-and-response classic ready-made to stir followers into a frenzy. “All Gas No Brakes” is a stuttering, haunting head nodder featuring 816 Boyz, and “In My Dreams” pairs KRIZZ KALIKO with Brotha Lynch Hung for a symphonic, cinematic adventure that boasts the lyrical prowess of both eccentric mic masters.

After working with Tech N9ne and Strange Music for 10 years, performing over 200 shows a year, KRIZZ KALIKO has earned a spot among Hip Hop’s hardest-working entertainers. His solo debut, 2008’s Vitiligo, landed at No. 19 on the Billboard charts and he has been instrumental in Tech N9ne’s incredible success: In 2008, Tech N9ne SoundScanned over one million units, making him the most successful independent Hip Hop artist in history. KRIZZ KALIKO’s sophomore CD, Genius, ranked No. 3 on Billboard’s Top Rap Albums chart.

It’s Kali baby, and he’s coming to a city near you with “TECH N9NE’S INDEPENDENT GRIND TOUR 2010” along with Hip Hop heavyweights E-40, Jay Rock and Glasses Malone and Strange Music cohorts Kutt Calhoun and Big Scoob.
