Red Hot Swedish DJ / Producer and Lollapalooza Headliner, Currently on Le7els Tour in North America
Grammy-nominated DJ and producer Avicii is following up his international smash “Le7els” with a new single, “Silhouettes,” which is being released today, May 29, on LE7ELS/Interscope Records. Featuring a powerhouse vocal from fellow Swede Salem Al Fakir, “Silhouettes” is yet another flawless musical showcase from one of the biggest EDM stars in the world. The track has been added to BBC Radio 1 in the UK, plus other core mainstream radio stations throughout Europe.
“I’ve always been a big fan of Salem and I’m so happy we got to do this track together! It’s been working so well in my sets and it feels so good to finally release it!” says Avicii.
Part of the next generation of electronic music producers to explode alongside the likes of Tiësto, Swedish House Mafia and his sometime collaborator David Guetta (on Guetta’s album Nothing But The Beat), Avicii has emerged as a potent force on the electronic dance music scene, penetrating on both a club and commercial level. “Le7els” climbed to No. 1 on the international Beatport chart as well as on the club charts in Germany and Australia, while the success of prior singles “Seek Bromance,” “Street Dancer” and “Fade Into Darkness” have also propelled him into the ranks of superstar DJs who are able to perform to massive crowds. Avicii has headlined such colossal events as Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival, Dance Valley, Street Parade and IDentity Festival, as well as performed on the main stage at last year’s Electric Daisy Carnival. This year, he headlined the Ultra Music Festival, performed at Coachella and will headline at Lollapalooza in August.
Avicii, who kicked off 2012 with a philanthropic “House for Hunger” tour that enabled him and his manager Ash Pournouri to personally donate one million dollars to the charity Feeding America. He is currently on the road in the U.S. for his first-ever headlining all-arena trek, the Avicii – Le7els Tour, which has become the biggest dance party of the summer.
