P.O.S WE DON’T EVEN LIVE HERE DEBUTS AT #47 ON BILLBOARD TOP 200

P.O.S’ latest album We Don’t Even Live Here debuted at #47 on the Billboard Top 200 chart (#8 Current Rap Album) this week, marking the highest debut of his career. The critically acclaimed album features Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon, Astronautalis, and fellow Doomtree members Sims and Mike Mictlan. The AV Club describes the album by saying, “WDELH is a solid, confident step forward for the Minneapolis rapper, taking his confrontational punk-rap style and injecting it with a dark, danceable energy that sacrifices none of his signature hardcore edge.” XXL states Stef “has found his own lane that continues to push the musical boundaries outside of his hip-hop foundation.” In support of the album a number of videos have be created highlighting the tracks “Bumper,” “Fuck Your Stuff,” and “Get Down.”

P.O.S was recently forced to postpone his upcoming tour due to his need for a kidney transplant. In a recent interview with Time magazine Stef Alexander explains his need for help and the general issue of health care for musicians. The good news is that Stef has found several strong candidates for a kidney donation. The less-than-totally-good news is that this stuff gets pretty damn expensive. For fans wishing to donate a fund has been set up to help offset medical costs. The Doomtree webstore is also offering a “Two Bum Kidneys” screenprint designed by Emmanuel Mauleon and MN Vice with all of the proceeds going directly to Stef.
