Ultra Records recording artist PITBULL chalks another milestone for his career with his platinum hit “I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)” that has been on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the last 14 weeks, in the Top 10 for four weeks where it remains at #4. It is the only independently released single ranking in the top 10 on the chart and is Ultra Records’ highest charting single to date.

Billboard’s Michael Menachem wrote in his review (4/4/09) of the infectious club anthem, “The clever meshing of reggaeton with Euro dance music signals what looks like a multiformat smash. At the core is an acoustic guitar and a sizzling rhythm, with hot horns in the form of a sample that just keeps on giving: Chicago’s ‘Street Player,’ which appeared in the ’90s techno hit ‘The Bomb’ by the Bucketheads.” Italy’s Nicola Fasano vs. Pat-Rich took said sample to create “75, Brazil Street”, which Ultra Records then mashed with Pitbull’s vocals, resulting in the song which sold over 112,211 units this week and 1,104,676 singles sold to date.

At radio, “I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)” received 12,565 spins this week and continues to gain airplay increases at Top 40 and Rhythmic formats. Pitbull’s track was recently featured on “Dancing with the Stars”, “CSI Miami”, The Ellen Degeneres Show and in ABC’s network brand spot which may be seen here:
