The truly original New York artist, Outasight, to release free Promotional EP available for download on September 25th.
September 25th, 2007 (New York, NY) – Thrift Shop Hip Hop is proud to announce the release of Outasight’s “Employee of the Year” EP. The EP is free and available to download both on his myspace artist page and also the Thrift Shop Hip Hop page. The EP is Outasight’s first release and includes all original production from Dante Lewis, Tristate, DreBond, and C&S on the title track. “Employee of the Year” contains 6 bangin tracks and will be released the day of Tuesday, September 25th, 2007.
Born and raised in Yonkers, New York, Outasight (Richard Andrew) was brought up by a mother who decorated the walls with records and a guitar playing father. Constantly Moving from apartment to apartment never gave him a true sense of home, but always found comfort in music. Whether it was fronting bands at such hollowed venues as the Knitting Factory and CBGB’s, or citing spoken word at the Nuyorican Cafe and the Bowery Poetry Club,As always love the stage. A once regular at drum and bass party’s, it was at these party’s where he really began to utilize both rapping and singing together. Using these experiences, Outasight is bringing his brand of music to the forefront.
Outasight is an emerging talent in the hip-hop scene. He has opened for such major artists as Me’Shell Ndegeocello and Dead Prez at New York’s SOB’s .He also rocked at the 2007 Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival where major label artists such as Ghostface Killah, Skills, and Consequence performed. Outasight first stepped onto the scene when his song, “New York, New York” was featured on a debuting MTV Show (PowerGirls) and his music has graced the airwaves of major campus radio stations across the country.

The “Employee of the Year” release reflects all sides of this unique artist. Blending a strong combination of on point emceeing and soulful vocals,. Outasight aims to bring hip-hop to a whole new place while drawing inspiration from his past. Song content is authentic, varying from the story of a young man trying to live his dream (Employee of the Year) to an endearing tale of falling for someone. Outasight is certainly a artist on the rise that has his lane to really shine.
