Middle Brother Reveal iPhone App; Offer Free Download

MIDDLE BROTHER REVEAL iPHONE APP, OFFER FREE DOWNLOAD BAND TO PERFORM AT SXSW AND SELECT U.S. DATES DURING MARCH SELF-TITLED DEBUT ALBUM IN STORES AND ONLINE VIA PARTISAN RECORDS ON MARCH 1

In a move that will bring fans closer than ever before, Middle Brother has created their very own iPhone app. And to celebrate, their much-anticipated title/namesake track “Middle Brother” will be debuted on the app Tuesday morning, February 8, in the official iTunes store. The band is offering not just the song, but the entire app for free – an innovative destination for exclusive news, video, photos, fan interaction, and more.

In addition to the launch of the iPhone app, Middle Brother is excited to announce that they will be touring throughout the US in March, beginning in Washington, DC, on March 2 and ending in Austin, TX, on March 19. The dates are in support of the band’s self-titled debut offering, available in stores and online March 1, 2011.

Middle Brother is the brainchild of Taylor Goldsmith of Dawes, John McCauley of Deer Tick and Matthew Vasquez of Delta Spirit, three individuals who have joined forces to make a very special record. In a time when synthesizers and laptops seem to be ruling the stages, Goldsmith, McCauley and Vasquez are leading the pack of young rock songwriters who strive to carry on the tradition of figures such as Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen, Warren Zevon and Tom Petty. Middle Brother came together in mid-2009 when the three songsmiths realized, after several on-stage collaborations, that they shared a unique vision and wanted to take it one step further, into the studio.

Middle Brother will be performing at the following venues across the US throughout March:
